Welcome back to the blog! Today, I’d like to share a small yet exciting milestone in my infrastructure engineer: personally setting up the entire system for a hybrid event with around 40 in-person attendees.
As an engineer who prioritizes hands-on skills, I quickly realized that hybrid events present challenges vastly different from traditional ones. The primary requirement was ensuring seamless communication between the 40 people in the venue and the online audience. This process demanded meticulous planning regarding signal flow to prevent issues like video lag or audio echoes. The pressure was significant, but successfully executing the event provided me with invaluable practical technical experience.
Of course, ensuring everything ran smoothly hinged on careful system planning and paying close attention to installation and safe rigging within a confined space.
